FOR APPLICATION AND CERTIFICATION ASSESSMENT

International Association of Transformational Game Practitioners (IATGP)

Approved by the Board of Directors

December 12, 2025, Minutes No. 2

These Terms and Conditions govern the procedure for submitting an application and undergoing an assessment for the purpose of obtaining an IATGP Certification ID (hereinafter — Certification ID).

By submitting an application and paying the Certification Fee, the Candidate confirms full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

1. Scope and Acceptance

1.1. Assessment Service

These Terms and Conditions define the procedure and conditions under which IATGP provides an assessment service to evaluate the Candidate’s professional competence for the possible issuance of a Certification ID.

The Certification Fee is charged exclusively for the assessment service and related administrative activities and does not constitute payment for the issuance of the Certification ID or any confirming document.

1.2. Mandatory Acceptance

Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions is a mandatory prerequisite for admission to the certification assessment process.

1.3. Prior Consent

By accepting these Terms and Conditions, the Candidate confirms that they have reviewed and agreed to the IATGP Code of Ethics and the IATGP Privacy Policy.

2. Certification and Assessment Process

2.1. Two-Stage Assessment

The certification process consists of a mandatory two-stage assessment:

  • Test 1 — written examination (theoretical assessment);

  • Test 2 — professional readiness assessment (oral).

2.2. Assessment Sequence

Registration for Test 2 is permitted exclusively after successful completion of Test 1.

2.3. Issuance of the Certification ID

The IATGP Certification ID is issued solely at the discretion of the IATGP Board of Directors or an authorized Assessor following successful completion and approval of both assessment stages.

2.4. Membership Promotional Offer

As part of a limited promotional offer offered by IATGP during the 2025 calendar year, Candidates who successfully obtain the Certification ID following completion of Test 2 are granted a free Basic Membership for a period of one (1) year.

This promotional offer is temporary and one-time in nature, does not constitute a mandatory element of certification, and does not apply to applications submitted after the end of the specified period unless otherwise separately approved by the Board of Directors.

3. Fees and Refund Policy

3.1. Payment for Services

The Certification Fee covers administrative costs, Assessor time, and the execution of the two-stage assessment procedure.

3.2. Non-Refundability

The Certification Fee is strictly non-refundable and shall not be refunded under any circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • unsuccessful completion of Test 1 and/or Test 2;

  • voluntary withdrawal by the Candidate at any stage;

  • termination of the assessment process due to a violation of the IATGP Code of Ethics.

3.3. Re-application

A Candidate who does not meet the established certification standards may submit a new application for a Certification ID no earlier than three (3) months from the date of the refusal decision, subject to payment of a new Certification Fee.

The Certification Commission may recommend a different minimum waiting period based on the nature of the identified deficiencies and the scope of required improvements. The Candidate shall be notified of such recommendation in writing.

4. Cancellation, Rescheduling and No-Show

4.1. Scheduling of Oral Assessment

Registration for the professional readiness assessment (Test 2) is conducted by prior booking. Rescheduling is permitted no later than 24 hours before the scheduled time.

4.2. No-Show
