IATGP CERTIFICATION APPLICATION AND ASSESSMENT TERMS

These Terms govern the application and assessment process for the IATGP Certification ID. By submitting your application and paying the Certification Fee, you fully and unconditionally agree to these Terms.
1. Scope and Acceptance
1.1. The Service: These Terms define the conditions under which IATGP provides the service of assessing a candidate's competence for the IATGP Certification ID. The fee paid is for the assessment service, not for the credential itself.
1.2. Mandatory Acceptance: Acceptance of these Terms is mandatory for proceeding with the application and assessment.
1.3. Prerequisites: By agreeing to these Terms, the Candidate affirms they have read and agreed to the IATGP Code of Ethics and the Privacy Policy.
2. Certification Process and Assessment
2.1. Two-Step Assessment: The Candidate understands and agrees that the Certification process is a mandatory two-step assessment:
a) Test 1: Written Knowledge Exam (Theoretical Assessment).
b) Test 2: Readiness Call (Practical/Oral Assessment).
2.2. Scheduling: The Readiness Call (Test 2) may only be booked after the successful submission of Test 1.
2.3. Credential Issuance: The IATGP Certification ID is issued solely at the discretion of the IATGP Board or its authorized Assessor upon the successful completion and approval of both Test 1 and Test 2.
2.4. Membership Grant: The complimentary one-year Basic Membership is activated and granted only upon the successful issuance of the Certification ID following the passing of Test 2.
3. Fees and Refund Policy
3.1. Payment for Service: The Certification Fee covers the administrative costs, assessor time, and evaluation services associated with the two-step assessment process.
3.2. Non-Refundable: The Certification Fee is strictly non-refundable. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including:
a) Failure to pass Test 1 (Written Exam) or Test 2 (Readiness Call).
b) Voluntary withdrawal by the Candidate at any stage of the process.
c) Termination of the assessment process due to a breach of the Code of Ethics.
3.3. Reapplication: Candidates who fail to meet the required standards may reapply after a minimum cooling-off period, subject to payment of a new Certification Fee.
4. Cancellation and Attendance Policy
4.1. Readiness Call Booking: Scheduling Test 2 is governed by the IATGP Booking and Cancellation Policy (including the 24-hour rescheduling deadline).
4.2. No-Show Consequence: If the Candidate fails to attend Test 2 (No-Show), the assessment service is considered delivered, and the Certification Fee is forfeited (No Money Back Guarantee).
5. Public Registry and Publication Consent
5.1. Inclusion in Public Register: The Candidate acknowledges that a condition of being issued the IATGP Certification ID is inclusion in the International Register of Certified Game Practitioners maintained by the Association.
5.2. Scope of Public Data: The Candidate provides full, explicit consent for the Association to publicly disclose and publish the following professional information on the IATGP website and in its official directories, upon successful certification:
* Full Name
* Practitioner ID Certificate Number
* Country and City of Professional Activity
* Professional Status and/or Membership Level (if applicable)
* Professional Biography (Bio) as submitted by the Candidate
* Professional Photo as submitted by the Candidate
5.3. Confirmation of Consent: By accepting these Terms, the Candidate expressly agrees to the public publication of the data specified in Section 5.2.
5.4. Withdrawal of Consent: The certified practitioner has the right to withdraw consent for the public publication of their professional data by submitting a request to the Association, as outlined in the IATGP Privacy Policy.
6. Limitation of Liability and Outcome
6.1. No Guarantee of Success: Submission of the application and payment of the fee does not guarantee the issuance of the IATGP Certification ID. The ID is contingent upon successful demonstration of competence.
6.2. No Promise of Work: The IATGP makes no guarantee, promise, or warranty, explicit or implied, regarding employment, income level, client acquisition, or professional success resulting from the Certification ID or subsequent Membership status.
6.3. Professional Responsibility: The Candidate remains solely responsible for all professional advice, services, and actions provided to their clients.
7. Governing Law
7.1. These Certification Application and Assessment Terms are governed by the laws of Canada.
